A’Ibom Ministry of Local Govt and Chieftaincy Affairs Donates Food Stuffs, Toiletries to Children of Mfonabasi Orphanage 

Christmas came early for children of Mfonabasi Orphanage, Ikot Oku Mfang, Abak Local Government Area, as Management and Staff of the the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as part of her philanthropic activities for the year, donated food stuffs, toiletries and provisions to the home .

The Chaplain of the Ministry and Director of Inspectorate, Mrs Ime Akpan who led the team, stated that the visit was to show love and compassion for the underprivileged children, noting that love is the universal language that can heal, inspire and transform lives .

Mrs Akpan encouraged the young souls of the home to be of good behaviour, obedient with the fear of God and to focus on pursuit of their dreams and aspirations, reminding them that they are not defined by their circumstances but by their potentials, ability to surmount challenges to actualize their dreams, achieve greatness, as future leaders.

She appreciated the Caregivers for nurturing and mentoring the children in the way of the Lord, enjoining them to keep trusting God that what they have planted in the lives of the children would continually blossom and bear fruits.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the home, while welcoming the team, appreciated the Ministry’s visits which she said has boosted the moral of the children.

She described the choice of the home as a divinely orchestrated mission ,thanking the Commissioner, Directors and staff for sharing love with the children

Prayers for the wellbeing of the kids were said by a staff of the Ministry, Mrs Ndimong Ikotidem,while the children in turn rendered songs and prayers in appreciation for the good deed of the Ministry..
