Dr Emmanuel Michael Presents Employment Letter to Rep Etteh

Dr Emmanuel Michael, recently appointed as a Lecturer I at a leading federal university in Nigeria, has presented his letter of employment to the member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh

Dr Michael paid an unscheduled visit to the lawmaker at his country home in Upenekang a few days ago, where he expressed profound appreciation for Etteh’s support and positive influence on his academic journey. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the legislator for touching his life in a meaningful way.

Responding, Hon. Etteh commended the university don for the gesture, describing it as encouraging and thoughtful. He congratulated Dr Michael on his appointment and urged him to be a worthy ambassador of the federal constituency, while also encouraging him to extend support to others from the constituency whenever the opportunity arises.

Etteh, who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, reiterated his strong commitment to educational development. He disclosed that he has sponsored two bills for the establishment of higher institutions in the constituency, the Petroleum Training Institute, Ibeno, and the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eket.

According to him, both bills have passed third reading in the House of Representatives and are currently before the Senate for concurrence, adding that when passed into law, it will create more opportunities for Akwa Ibom indigenes and Nigerians while creating more job opportunities.

Dr Emmanuel Ikpe Michael hails from Ekpene Ukpa Village, Ward 2 Urban, Eket.
