Esit Eket/Ibeno Lawmaker Meets Royal Fathers, Earns Royal Endorsement

The Member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Udobia Friday Udo, has received a major boost ahead of the 2027 elections, following his endorsement by the Esit Eket Royal Fathers as their consensus candidate.

Hon. Udobia paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Esit Eket, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Ubong Assam, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, as part of his Christmas outreach activities.

Speaking during the visit, the lawmaker explained that the season of Christmas symbolizes love, unity, and reconciliation. He noted that his visit was driven by the desire to share goodwill with his royal fathers and to further strengthen the bond between traditional institutions and political leadership for the development of the constituency.

The visit was warmly received by the monarch and members of the royal council, who commended the lawmaker for his humility, generosity, and continuous engagement with the grassroots.

In his response, HRM Edidem Ubong Assam praised Hon. Udobia for his commitment to the welfare and progress of Esit Eket/Ibeno. The paramount ruler offered royal blessings and formally endorsed him as the consensus candidate of the royal fathers for the 2027 elections.
