Esit Eket/Ibeno MP Moves to Strengthen PWDs Inclusion

The lawmaker representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Hon. (Engr.) Udobia Friday Udo, has reiterated his strong commitment to strengthen inclusivity of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) following the appointment of two aides drawn from the PWDs community.

Hon. Udobia also pledged to provide additional orthopedic wheelchairs to enhance mobility for persons with disabilities, underscoring his resolve to ensure that no segment of the constituency is left behind.

“We are committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities in Esit Eket have access to the resources they need to live fulfilling lives,” the lawmaker stated during a recent engagement with members of the PWDs community.

He added that he will make available resources for business support to the PWDs within his constituency, as a practical way to show commitment to inclusivity.

The visit was further marked by the donation of bags of rice and cash support, a gesture that was warmly received and described as timely, especially in view of the festive season. Representatives of the disability community expressed deep gratitude to Hon. Udobia for his compassion, inclusiveness, and sustained attention to their welfare.

They commended his leadership style, noting that his actions reflect genuine concern for vulnerable groups and a practical approach to inclusive governance within Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency.
