Godwin Williams, Kanayo Kanayo, Ime Akpan, others attend SPIDEL Conference in Uyo

The trio of former Afigh Iwaad Ekid President General ObongIwaad (Pst.) Godwin Williams Esq., former Nollywood Actor, Barr. Kanayo Kanayo and Chairman Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Eket Branch, Barr. Peter Ime Akpan, were spotted among Lawyers at the ongoing SPIDEL Annual Conference in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

This year Conference with the theme: A Banner Without Stain, is holding at the prestigious Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, commenced on Monday, 1st December and will end on Friday, 5th December, 2025.

SPIDEL Conference aims at developing Legal frameworks that underpin economic reforms, addressing issues relating to public interest Law and advocating the fundamental link between law, its role, and application to development.

The Conference is being held as the last conference by any NBA Section to herald the exit of the current leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association.

SPIDEL core objectives are to ensure the credibility and development of our national institutions; promote development and practice of public interest law and litigation and ensure access to effective remedies for victims of violations of the law and abuse of power.

It also address legal aspects of economic reforms, advocate for effective laws and institutions to guarantee public safety and security in Nigeria, promote harmonization of regional integration institutions within Nigeria’s constitutional framework and contribute to development of appropriate legal and policy framework for management and protection of environmental, marine and maritime resources and rights, among others.
