Gov Eno Charges Eket Old Friends to Rekindle Spirit, Drive Development in Eket
… honoured as beacon of light
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on members of Eket Old Friends, to join hands with his administration in the drive to rekindle the spirit of progress and propel the sustained development of Eket land.
Speaking at All Nations Christian Ministry Int’l, Eket where the group had their inaugural thanksgiving, the Governor said Eket has been a blessing to many who have become successful in their different endeavours.
The Governor who said he is a chief beneficiary from the blessings of Eket land, commended the group for the initiative and assured it of support to make the 2026 edition more eventful and impactful.
The Governor disclosed that efforts are underway to resolve outstanding issues surrounding Qua River Hotel, to pave the way for its development, and emphasized that the location remains an ideal spot for a beachfront hotel.
The Governor also congratulated the Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon Emmanuel Inyang, over the dedication of his new baby.
He admonished them on good parenting, and advised parents generally to give birth to the number of children that they can care and cater for.
Earlier, the Coordinator of Eket Old Friends, Mr. Courage Edeminam, said they had their inaugural meeting, and also visited families of their deceased members, adding that the thanksgiving was an avenue to thank God for His blessings upon their lives and over one of them, Pastor Umo Eno whom God has blessed as the State Governor.
They group used the opportunity to honour the Governor as a Beacon of Light, and for his quality leadership, saying he has made them proud.
In his message on Divine Visitation taken from Luke 1:64, the Presiding Pastor of All Nations Christian Ministry Int’l, Pastor Ndaeyo Udomfuk said it is God’s intervention in human affairs, stressing that divine visitation brings joy and celebration, and urged Christians to serve and praise God in their seasons of divine visitation.
