Governor Eno’s Media Aide, Set to Bury Mother on Saturday

The family of Arc. Udofia Umo Udofia of Ntak Inyang village, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, has announced the passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Mrs. Comfort Udofia Umo-Udofia, aged 59.

According to the funeral programme, activities commenced on Sunday, December 7, and will continue through Friday, December 12, 2025, with condolence visits at the family residence in Ntak Inyang village.

The lying-in-state is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 9:00 am, also at the family compound, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am to be conducted by the Church of Christ, Eka Uruk Eshiet. Interment and reception will hold immediately after the service at the same venue.

The deceased is the mother of Dr. AmanamHillary Umo-Udofia, Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on New Media and a member of the Governor’s College of Personal Aides. Her demise has drawn sympathies from colleagues, government officials and associates across the state, many of whom have described her as a virtuous, community-minded woman whose life impacted many.

The family expressed gratitude to God for a life they described as “purposeful, peaceful and inspiring,” and invited friends, well-wishers and the general public to join them in honouring their mother’s memory.
