My Take on House of Representatives for Eket, Esit Eket, ONNA and Ibeno Federal Constituency – 2027

As we approach the 2027 general elections, it has become necessary to clearly state my position on the House of Representatives seat for Eket, Esit Eket, Onna, and Ibeno Federal Constituency. This position is guided by principles of fairness, equity, unity, and a sincere commitment to the peaceful coexistence and political stability of our constituency.

Zoning is not an entitlement but a justifiable principle designed to uphold fairness, equity, and the rightful inclusion of all constituent members. It is an understanding that protects the collective interest of every community and ensures that no group is unfairly sidelined in the sharing of political opportunities.

We fully recognize and respect the numerical strength of our brothers in Eket, Esit Eket, ONNA, and Ibeno. However, in acknowledgement of the long-standing zoning accord within our constituency, it would be morally unjust and politically destabilizing for anyone to attempt to jettison this honorable arrangement.

In this regard, Ibeno LGA deserves its uninterrupted 8 years in the National Assembly. Justice for one is justice for all, and injury to one is injury to all. Upholding this principle strengthens the trust that binds us and affirms the equality of all components within the constituency.

At the same time, we openly welcome anyone who wishes to aspire, as it remains the constitutional right of every citizen to do so. Ultimately, the true victory will belong to the people of Eket, Esit Eket, Onna, and Ibeno Federal Constituency — because when fairness prevails, everyone wins. Congratulations to the good people of our federal constituency for standing firm on the path of unity, justice, and progress.

We therefore call on all stakeholders, political actors, and community leaders to uphold the spirit of fairness and to take actions that inspire confidence, strengthen brotherhood, and promote lasting unity in our constituency. This is the only way we can build a peaceful, inclusive, and progressive future for all.
