Rep Martin Esin Attracts Donation of Working Vehicle to AHTA Oro-Elect by Speaker

Ahta Oro-elect, His Eminence Edidem Ita Okokon, has received a working vehicle donated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, following the monarch’s nomination by the Member representing Oron Federal Constituency, Rep. Martins Esin.

At the presentation, which took place on Sunday in Victoria Island, Lagos, Speaker Abbas, who handed similar vehicles to seven other traditional rulers across the country, explained that the donation aims to strengthen the role of traditional institutions in promoting peace and stability at the grassroots.

Rep. Martins Esin, Chairman of the House Committee on Youth Development, commended the Speaker for what he described as his nationalist leadership style, noting that Nigerians across all six geopolitical zones continue to feel the impact of his initiatives. He reaffirmed his constituents’ support for the Speaker’s leadership in the 10th Assembly.

Other beneficiaries of the vehicle donation included the Ayangburen of Ikorodu; the Onikate of Ikate; Igwe Fidelis Ogbu of Enugu; HRH Igwe Dr. Robert C. of Anambra; His Imperial Majesty Oba Arole-Agbala of Ondo; and the Ede of Ekiti.

The Ahta Oro-elect was accompanied to the event by the Chairman of Okobo Local Government and Director General of the Forward Oro Campaign Organization, Hon. Engr. George Henshaw; former Transition Committee Chairman of Oron Local Government, Hon. Murphy Esin; Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker, Chief Koko Ebah; among other dignitaries.
