When Citizens Lack Strategy, Power Evades Justice

When Citizens Lack Strategy, Power Evades Justice. I Stand Apart, Unyielding Against Lawlessness and Impunity.” – Prof. Mgbeke

Some people in Nigeria suffer not only from poverty of money, but from poverty of the mind. They lack knowledge, understanding, exposure, and the intellectual discipline required to hold power accountable in a brilliant and strategic way. That is why oppression thrives. That is why abuse of process is normalized. That is why many endure injustice silently instead of demanding damages, compensation, and full accountability under the law.

Accountability is not noise. It is not sentiment. It is not social media outrage. Accountability is intelligence applied with unique precision. It is knowing the law, understanding power, and speaking to authority in a language it cannot dismiss or escape. Many do not know how to engage power. I do.

I know how to talk to power and hold it tightly, intelligently, and relentlessly accountable. I do not beg institutions. I confront them with facts, law, and process. I am well versed. I am equipped. I am prepared. I do not know about you.

Let it be clearly stated. Not even the Attorney General of the Federation, or any authority whatsoever, can withdraw a sensitive criminal trial without due diligence and strict adherence to legal process. Such actions are not casual. They are not political toys. They are dangerous to justice and damaging to the nation itself.

This matter is too serious for shortcuts. Too sensitive for manipulation. Too consequential for political convenience.

“It is obvious that the federal government will not want to embarrass itself or ridicule the judicial system. This case will educate both the government and the citizens on the rights of individuals in a criminal investigation and trial. I am not merely involved. I am the case study, and the government understands this.” – Prof. Sandra C. Duru

History is shaped by those who understand power, law, and strategy. The rest only complain after the damage is done.

Gender weaponization, media manipulation, and the “loudest” false allegations without a shred of evidence are far too dangerous to be tolerated in Nigeria. These acts strike at the very foundation of justice and the rule of law.

Natasha Akpoti’s criminal trial must continue. This is not merely about Akpabio or Natasha. It is an attack on every citizen and a test of our institutions.

To allow such a trial to be derailed or withdrawn without closure, final judgement, or due process is to signal institutional failure, impunity, and the erosion of justice itself. The law must prevail, and accountability cannot be optional.

It’s dangerous to politicize a sensitive criminal matter of this magnitude and of national and international interests.
