Gideon Uwa Congratulates Senate President Godswill Akpabio as Sole Candidate for Akwa Ibom North West 2027 Elections 

The Executive Chairman of Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Gideon Uwa, has congratulated the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on his emergence as the sole candidate of all political parties for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District 2027 general elections.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the government and people of Etim Ekpo LGA, Uwa described the development as “a clear affirmation of confidence in Akpabio’s leadership capacity, political experience, and enduring contributions to national development.”

He noted that the decision of the party reflects the widespread trust and unity of purpose within the APC family, particularly in recognition of Akpabio’s role as a bridge-builder, seasoned legislator, and key figure in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Uwa further commended the Senate President for his commitment to legislative excellence, national stability, and the advancement of policies that continue to strengthen governance and development across the country.

According to him, “Akpabio’s emergence as sole candidate is not only a personal milestone but also a moment of pride for Akwa Ibom State and the entire political leadership structure in the region.”

The council boss expressed confidence that the Senate President will continue to bring his wealth of experience, political maturity, and strategic leadership to bear in consolidating the achievements of the APC and deepening democratic governance in Nigeria.

He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and greater success for the Senate President ahead of 2027, and assured him of the unwavering support and solidarity of the people of Etim Ekpo in his political journey.
