100% Support for Gov Eno: Frank Archibong Leads Front for Unity

as Eket Stakeholders, supporters empty into the APC

‎In a bold move of solidarity and team spirit, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mkpisong Hon. Frank Archibong, has boosted the spirit of unity, purpose and enthusiasm for the progressive movement, taking its message deeper in Eket Local Government.

‎Speaking in a gathering of Eket political stakeholders, in his residence, Ikot Ibiok, Eket, on Wednesday July 22, 2025, Archibong stressed that, “there is always need for us to have time to sit down together to articulate and chart the way forward especially in the dawn of the progressive movement and the unfolding political realities”.

‎He maintained that, daily the truth of why Governor Umo Eno moved to the APC keeps unfolding, describing it as timely and wise. “We didn’t promise Gov. Umo Eno, half support, we promised him 100% support and we can’t sit on the fence watching. We have to move as a unit and as a team.

‎“We must honour and respect him as the leader we voted for. And we have to fuse with our brothers in the All Progressive Congress (APC) , merge and work together to support our Governor.

‎Endorsing his position, key stakeholders and ward leaders responded with a reverberating acceptance to move with Gov. Eno, queuing behind the Hon. Frank Archibong who is the Dean of Commissioners and a key figure in the administration of Governor Umo Eno.

Willie Mbong, Comrade Mfon Bassey, Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Senior Comrade Daniel Essien, Dean of Supervisors and Special Advisers, Eket LGA, Hon Ima Ben, Deputy Leader Eket Legislative Council, Mrs Udeme Jack, Hon Monday Akpan Umoh, dean of ward PA’s Eket, Elder Emman Sammy, Elder Sunny Akpadiaha, all spoke glowingly to move to the All Progressive Congress

‎The State Organizing Secretary of PDP, Obongiwaad Emmanuel Mbong, who spoke as one of the major stakeholders, noted that, although this reality has plagued, the party structure will still remain because the Governor formed the party structure.

‎”We are here waiting for his instructions, if he says tomorrow go this direction, we will do so. Our support for him is sacrosanct”.

Highpoint of the event was the unanimous decision of Eket Stakeholders and supporters of the PDP to empty into the All Progressive Congress (APC).
