Princess Ibanga Highlights Humanitarian Gains on ARISE Policy Thrust Programme
The Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga, has reaffirmed the commitment of the State Government to building an inclusive, healthy, and prosperous society through people-centred policies and impactful humanitarian interventions.
Princess Ibanga made this known during an interview on ARISE Policy Thrust, a programme anchored by Media Aides to Governor Umo Eno, Mr. Charles Akpan and Mr. Ekomobong Peter, at her office on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Speaking on the achievements of the Ministry under the ARISE Agenda, the Commissioner attributed the establishment of the Ministry to Governor Umo Eno’s passion for service and unwavering compassion for vulnerable persons.
She noted that the Ministry has continued to drive social protection initiatives, humanitarian response programmes, and empowerment interventions aimed at improving the lives of citizens across the state.
According to her, the administration remains steadfast in its resolve to ensure that no citizen is left behind, stressing that several strategic interventions have been implemented to support vulnerable groups, strengthen social welfare systems, and enhance the overall well-being of residents.
Princess Ibanga further emphasized that Governor Umo Eno is intentionally building a lasting legacy through policies and programmes that promote inclusiveness, strengthen family and community structures, and create opportunities for sustainable development and shared prosperity.
As the administration counts down to 2027, the Commissioner assured Akwa Ibom people that the Ministry would continue to expand its reach and impact, bringing hope, support, and opportunities to more vulnerable citizens across the state in line with the Governor’s vision of a compassionate and people-focused government.
