Divorcee sues BMMF Bishop for broken marriage, demands return of ankara, wine

My only offense is that I collected ankara and wine from the couple, says embattled Bishop

Middle aged man, Otobong Ntiense, has dragged a tax collector and suspended Bishop of Bachelor Must Marry Ministry, Mr. Leo Leo Umana to Uyo court for a failed marriage that only lasted for two months after collecting ankara and wine from the couple.

According to the plaintiff, he decided to sue Mr. Umana for assuring him and his estranged spouse that their marriage will flourish and they will be highly favoured with surprise packages from the public, but surprisingly their marriage did not last up to two months.

Ntiense accused Umana of using his online ministry to collect ankara and wine from innocent citizens, calling on the tax man to return his ankara and wine since their marriage isn’t flourishing as he earlier promised but rather disintegrated.

Speaking further, Ntiense said what pain him most is that the said Leo Leo Umana used the wine and ankara he forcefully collected from bachelors in the state to open a wine shop and boutique along Nwaniba road, maintaining that his action is punishable under the Criminal Code of the state.

He vowed not to spare the culprit so as to serve as deterrent to others who may tow his line of action.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against him, saying he committed no crime known by the law for collecting wine and ankara from intending couple in line with the ministry principles.

In his ruling, the trial Judge stressed the need for the online minister to desist henceforth from forceful collection of ankara and wine from unsuspecting members of the ministry, noting that his actions is against the ethics of christinedom. He therefore ordered him to be remanded in custodial center till the adjourned date.
