GOV ENO BEGINS FOURTH YEAR IN OFFICE WITH PRAYER SUMMIT

as cleric harps on imperative of revolving thrones around prayer, praises

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has marked the beginning of the fourth year of his administration with a prayer summit, where renowned cleric, Rev. Simeon Afolabi emphasized the importance of sustaining leadership through prayers and praise, noting that such spiritual support helps safeguard positions of authority from negative influences.

In his message at Day One of the summit on Monday June 1, 2026, Rev Afolabi who is the founder and Serving Overseer of First Love Assembly, said it was necessary for believers to entrust the seat of power to the universal king.

Making reference to the Scriptures, he said “Except the LORD builds the house, they labour in vain who build it; except the LORD keeps the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain.”

He also quoted another scripture where God said “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing,” to buttress his point.

Speaking on the theme of the summit, “The God of Awesome Wonders,” taken from Joshua 3:5, Rev Afolabi said to experience God’s awesome wonders, one must know and acknowledge His ways.

He therefore admonished believers to seek to know and walk in the ways of God, stressing that those who know His ways do not need to push or shove to experience wonders.

Rev Afolabi commended Governor Eno for acknowledging God, and for holding unto Him.

Earlier in an opening charge, Presiding Pastor of All Nations Christian Ministry International, Pastor Ndaeyo Udomfuk, said God takes delight in doing wonders.

Speaking on facts about wonders, he said they are possible, are of God, and defy convention.

The prayer summit continues today Tuesday June 2, 2026 and will end on Wednesday June 3, 2026.
