GOV. ENO REWARDS LOYALTY, GIFTS CHEF FULLY FURNISHED THREE-BEDROOM HOUSE
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has rewarded the loyalty and dedication of his chef, Mr. Saviour Kingsley, with a fully furnished three-bedroom bungalow at Ikot Ibiok, Eket Local Government Area.
The house, commissioned by the Governor on Thursday, is a gesture of appreciation for Kingsley’s years of diligent service, first as a bar attendant at Royalty Hotel, Eket, and currently as the Governor’s private chef at Government House, Uyo.
Represented at the commissioning ceremony by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mkpisong Frank Archibong, Governor Eno described the house gift to his domestic staff as a reward for loyalty, noting that Kingsley had demonstrated commitment and dedication in the discharge of his duties.
Archibong, who supervised the project on behalf of the Governor, recalled that Governor Eno had expressed concern that his domestic staff member had no house of his own and wanted him to have a home where he could settle down and begin plans for marriage.
“The Governor told me that he wanted the boy to have a house so that he could settle down and get married. That is because Saviour has committed himself to serving the Governor diligently. That is a reward for loyalty. Unknown to him, the master was watching,” Archibong said.
Frank Archibong who hails from the area, urged the people of Eket Ward 2 Central and the entire Eket Local Government Area to sustain their support for the Governor Eno-led administration, noting that continued partnership with the government would facilitate the delivery of more development projects to the area.
“God has given Umo Eno to you; don’t joke with this opportunity,” he said.
The Commissioner recalled that Eket Central Ward 2 recorded the highest number of votes for Governor Eno in the last governorship election, expressing confidence that the ward would surpass its previous performance in the forthcoming election.
“This ward gave the single highest vote, and we are going to repeat it,” he declared.
Archibong also disclosed that Governor Eno had recently approved additional road projects in Eket, including the Esit Urua Road, describing the approvals as further evidence of the Governor’s commitment to the development of the area.
He cautioned residents against allowing politicians to distract them with promises that might not translate into tangible development, insisting that the present administration was making visible progress in Eket.
In his goodwill message, the Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah, congratulated Kingsley on the Governor’s benevolence, describing him as a loyal and dedicated staff member who had remained committed to his duties.
He said the Governor’s development initiatives across the State underscores his determination to fulfil the promises made to Akwa Ibom people, adding that the house gift reflected the administration’s recognition of diligence and commitment to duty.
“What we are gathering to witness is a reward for loyalty, not compassion,” the Information Commissioner stated.
Other dignitaries who commended the Governor for the gesture included the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga; the Governor’s Personal Assistant on Special Duties; the Governor’s Confidential Secretary, Lady Affiong Inok; Mr. Emmanuel Udo; the APC Chapter Chairman in Eket, Elder Inyang Johnny Ebuk; the Ward Woman Leader, Central 2, Mrs. Udeme Daniel; and the Councillor representing Eket Ward 2, Rose Sylvanus.
In a project overview, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, clarified that the building was not an ARISE Compassionate Home but a special reward for Kingsley’s loyalty and sincerity in service.
He disclosed that the three-bedroom bungalow was fully furnished, with air conditioners installed in all the rooms. The property also features a chandelier, solar power, perimeter fencing and other facilities designed to ensure comfort, security and convenience.
In his response, the beneficiary, Saviour Kingsley, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Eno for the life-changing gift and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the Governor for his kindness and generosity.
