The Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Research and Documentation, Dr. Essien Ndueso, has identified capacity development and empowerment of the people at the grassroots as the greatest form of support to Governor Umo Eno.

He has commended the Member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh for what he described as a practical demonstration of people-oriented leadership, that tends to unite and equip the people to be useful to themselves and the society.

Hon Odudoh had recently performed a mega empowerment rally in Ikot Abasi, but said this current empowerment was largely for his personal aides, some constituents, and other supporters across the State.

The lawmaker said the gesture was borne out of a personal commitment and divine covenant to positively impact the lives of the people.

“I have made a covenant with my God to always support and make life easy for people who work for me and others in my constituency,” he stated.

The lawmaker further announced plans to commence a free medical outreach programme for constituents across Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin, and Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency.

Dr. Ndueso who was flanked by his colleague the SSA on legal documentation , Barr Ememobong Nicholas, further acknowledged the support and sacrifices of Mrs. Sarah Odudoh, describing her as a pillar of strength behind the federal lawmaker’s achievements.

He likened the empowerment initiative to the people-focused governance style championed by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno PhD, noting that democracy finds expression when public officers touch the lives of the people at the grassroots.

According to him, the lawmaker’s commitment to improving the lives of those around him is not a recent development or a public relations stunt, but a value system he has consistently upheld over the years.

One of the beneficiaries, a non native of the State, Mr. Williams Shawulu expressed appreciation to Rt. Hon. Odudoh and his wife for their kindness and inclusive leadership.

He noted that despite not being natives of Akwa Ibom State, they had been treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, making it difficult for many of them to consider leaving.

Describing the federal lawmaker as a “destiny helper,” Mr. Williams prayed for God’s continued blessings and protection upon the family.

Another beneficiary, Comrade Utenge Udoinyang expressed profound gratitude to the federal lawmaker, noting that many of the recipients had never earned or handled up to one million naira previously.

He said that beyond the financial benefits, they had acquired valuable life lessons and experiences from Rt. Hon. Odudoh.

“We are grateful and pledge our continued loyalty and support. We will not disappoint him by judiciously investing the money to create a multiplier effect,” Udoinyang stated.

Appreciating the federal lawmaker, a former Ikot Abasi Council Chairman, Hon. Ubong Ukwang, lauded Rt. Hon. Odudoh for his unwavering commitment to humanity and service, expressing pride in his accomplishments and assuring him of their continued support.

“We know the impact you have created and the greater impact you are yet to create. We will always support you. God bless you,” he said.
