Also, for ease of transportation of equipment from one Federal Constituency to another, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, was fixed by the State Government for the distribution of Arise Entrepreneurial Equipment Support (AESS), in which 2000 MSMEs Equipment Support, 80 Brand New Mini Buses, and 34 Brand New Vehicles, were donated to the beneficiaries, across the 10 Federal Constituencies in Akwa Ibom State, at Uyo Township Stadium. It was a memorable day, as evidence of selfless service to the people was glaring for all to see. The Town-Square Meeting conducted across the State has seen thousands of beneficiaries including Traders and Farmers empowered financially to boost their businesses with about 5Billion Naira, excluding Equipment Support Scheme. A testimony to the unflinching support and commitment of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, to stimulating the Local economy, leading to a rise in Gross Domestic Product, GDP and increase in Per Capita Income of direct and indirect beneficiaries in Akwa Ibom State.
Apart from the series of empowerment carried out in each of these Federal Constituencies, the Governor also called for a Need Assessment Documents, showcasing various projects that needed government attention, compiled by political stakeholders from each of the 10 Federal Constituencies. The Need Assessment Documents, will help the Governor in listing critical projects that would be included in 2026 budget. No wonder the 2026 budget is christened, the “Peoples’ Budget”. Indeed, Governor Eno has distinguished himself in leadership. I forgot to mention that a close look at all the programmes of the Town-Square Event, also showcased all the number of projects successfully carried out in all the Local Government Areas in each of the 10 Federal Constituencies, ranging from Roads, Arise Compassionate Homes, Model Schools, Arise Model Healthcare Centres amongst other developmental projects in the State.
