Humanitarian Service: First Lady’s Office to Partner with Rotary International
The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has said her office will partner with Rotary International, District 9142, in delivering humanitarian services to the vulnerable population of Akwa Ibom State.
Lady Obareki made this known on Monday, September 8, 2025, when she received the District Governor 9142, Kelechi Anyanwu, who led other Rotarians to her office in Government House, Uyo, to seek collaboration for future projects.
The Coordinator expressed optimism that the collaboration with the organisation would be seamless since some of her core mandate aligns with the thematic areas of the Golden Initiative For All, GIFA.
Lady Obareki announced that GIFA, under the Literacy and Learning thematic area, is organizing a back-to-school programme where school children would be given learning materials.
“Some of the thematic areas of the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), which is the First Lady’s pet project, aligns with some of the work that Rotary does. What you do aligns with what we do, so you are supporting us and we are supporting you. “
“The bottom line of all of these is to bring greater good and impact to the lives of those who are less privileged. As schools resume, we will be partnering with you on our back-to-school programme,” she stressed.
