Ignore Mischievous and False Publication by Emmanuel Sam and The Guide Newspaper 

My attention has been drawn to a mischievous and utterly false publication authored by one Emmanuel Sam and circulated through his now famously-useless newspaper platform, The Guide Newspaper, wherein he alleged that I, as Media Aide to His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, implied that my Principal does not deserve my loyalty and that the Governor does not care about the welfare of his Aides.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t dignify such deliberate rubbish and falsehood with a response as the same paper and its publisher has become reputed for falsehood yellow journalism. However, in the interest of clarity and to set the records straight for the good people of Akwa Ibom State, I wish to state unequivocally that the said publication is a complete fabrication inspired by malice, mischief, and the desperation of its author. The piece attempts, albeit unsuccessfully, to twist an innocuous social media post into a narrative that I don’t, and will never subscribe to.

For the avoidance of doubt, I reaffirm my total loyalty, unwavering commitment and support, and absolute dedication to my Principal, Governor Umo Eno. His Excellency has, since assuming office in 2023, demonstrated uncommon vision, empathy, and genuine passion for the welfare of every citizen, including his Personal Aides. Serving under his leadership remains both a privilege and an honour that I hold in the highest regard.

It is unfortunate, though not surprising, that Mr. Emmanuel Sam has once again resorted to his well-known antics of misinformation and blackmail. The public is already aware of his reputation for concocting lies and fabricating stories to please his paymasters. Indeed, his track record during the 2022/2023 political season exposed him as a merchant of fake news, whose every smear campaign ended in resounding failure. This latest attempt, like those before it, is nothing but another wild goose chase that will collapse with time under the weight of its own falsehood.

I therefore urge members of the public to disregard the baseless claims contained in The Guide Newspaper publication. I also use this medium to appeal to media practitioners and opinion leaders to resist the temptation of spreading fake news and misleading narratives against the Governor and government of Akwa Ibom State which serve no purpose other than to sow discord and mislead unsuspecting citizens.

As for Mr. Sam, I strongly advise him and his sponsors to desist from their relentless propagation of falsehood. Akwa Ibom people are wiser, and no amount of blackmail or propaganda can diminish the credibility, integrity, and people-centric leadership of Governor Umo Eno.

In conclusion, I reiterate my steadfast loyalty and commitment to supporting the Governor in actualizing his ARISE Agenda for the progress and prosperity of Akwa Ibom State. Together, we remain focused on service to the people, undistracted by the noise of detractors like The Guide Newspaper and it’s publisher.
