LET’S FOCUS ON BUILDING A’IBOM – GOV ENO URGES CITIZENRY

dedicates Church, triplets in ONNA

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged the citizenry, especially the political class to focus on building a better State rather than keep their eyes on personal gains.

The Governor gave the advice at the Church dedication service of the All Nations Christian Ministry International, ONNA Mission Field, in ONNA Local Government Area.

He said it would be more rewarding if everyone would concentrate on gaining victory for the State, instead of seeking self popularity.

Making reference to the Bible Book of Judges 4:9, where it is written that “Barak agreed to go if Deborah would accompany him. Deborah agreed, but prophesied that the glory of defeating Sisera would go to a woman, not him. She then arose and went with Barak to Kedesh,” he advised that people should always be willing to work for the interest of the State without seeking self serving credits.

He appreciated everyone who contributed to the Church building, and also the building committee for their quality work and timely delivery.

The Governor who dedicated a set of triplet born to the family of Hon. Sunday Ekpo, congratulated the parents and urged those experiencing delays in any aspect of life not to loose hope but keep faith and wait for God’s time.

Earlier in her message, Bishop (Dr.) Enobong Essien, founder/serving General Overseer of Gospel Foundation Mission, emphasized the importance of activating “divine capacity,” which according to her is like a spiritual muscle that enables individuals to transcend their natural limitations.

Taking her text from the book of Ephesians 3:20, and John 15:5, she said divine capacity helps one to go beyond natural limitation, do what others can’t do, see more than others can see, and survive what others cannot survive.

Bishop Essien outlined key steps to activating divine capacity, including staying connected to God, cultivating a prayer life, being willing and obedient, and stepping out in faith.

She eulogised Governor Umo Eno for his dedicated service to humanity, adding that he has a mission to build and help, and had been impacting lives before becoming Governor.

She recalled the numerous lives impacted through the Governor’s compassionate disposition and urged everyone to continue to support the Governor to deliver on his divine assignment of building and helping generations.

In her remark, Coordinator Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Eno-Obareki appreciated God for the blessings of the Church and the triplets, and appreciated the family for immortalizing the late first Lady, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, by naming one of their daughters after her.

In their separate remarks, the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi speaking on behalf of the State Executive Council, as well as the Managing Director of HENSEK Integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko, on behalf of captains of industries, felicitated Pastor Umo Eno and the Church for the successful completion and dedication of the building, and also parents of the triplets for their triple blessings.
