NUJ Chairman Visits Eket Monarch
…Pays Tribute on 89th Birthday

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Nsibiet John, has paid a visit to the Paramount Ruler of Eket Local Government, HRM Edidem E. C. D. Abia, to celebrate the Monarch’s 89th birthday.
Comrade John, while acknowledging the commitment of the Royal Father to the development of Eket Local Government Area and his dedication to transforming the traditional institution, prayed God to grant the Paramount Ruler long life, strength, and many happy returns.
Speaking, The Paramount Ruler. HRM. Edidem E. C. D. Abia, congratulated the NUJ Boss on his emergence as the Chairman of the Union and the subsequent record of achievements on his first one Hundred Days in Office.
The Monarch expressed optimism in the ability of Comrade Nsibiet John to lead the Union on the path of professionalism, excellence and focus.
He said, as an Ekid son, I expect nothing other than the very best from your leadership. Ekid people are noted for finesse, courage, discipline and the fear of God. So, I pray that God will grant you the capacity to lead well and as an Ambassador of Ekid people, all I wish for you is to deliver on your mandate. As a young person, I trust in your ability to deliver excellent leadership. I urged you to be exemplary and creative in leadership to leave an indelible legacy
He expressed satisfaction over the visit, gave the NUJ Boss his royal blessings and prayed him to succeed on all fronts.
