Resource Person Donates Home to Widow in Asana as Gov Eno Delivers 8th ARISE Home in Mkpat Enin
In a heartwarming display of compassion and community development, Dr Anietie Essien, a resource person who handled an Arise Compassionate Home in Ikpa Ibom ward in Mkpat Enin, has donated a home to a widow in Asana.
This gesture which further solidifies Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to empowering and sheltering the vulnerable, coincides with the Governor’s milestone achievement of delivering the 8th Arise Home in Mkpat Enin.
Represented by Barr Kufre Udosen, the Special Adviser on Political and Social Re-orientation, Governor Eno before proceeding to Asana, made a stopover at Ekpuk to deliver an Arise compassionate home to a beneficiary.
While presenting the home documents alongside 500, 000 Naira business support to the beneficiary in Asana, Mrs Ima Emmanuel, Governor thanked Mkpat Enin people for their support to his ARISE Agenda. He called on other resource persons to emulate the compassionate gesture of Dr Essien.
Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian affairs, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, while presenting an overview of the project recounted the plight of the beneficiary.
He expressed appreciation to the resource person whom he described as champion of compassion, for channeling his proceeds from the contract to build another home for a widow in the same community.
In their goodwill messages, Stakeholders from the area, including the resource person, Dr Anietie Essien were full of praises to Governor Eno for his inclusivity approach to leadership. Essien said his decision to build a home for a widow in the same community was his little way of complementing the Governor’s compassionate gestures.
In their separate vote of thanks, the beneficiary of the Governor’s home, Madam Ima Emmanuel and Madam Nseobong Timothy, who received a home from the resource person thanked Governor Eno for his compassionate heart while reflecting on their long spell with homelessness.
