Sir Victor Antai Inspects new NDDC State Office Complex in Warri

As part of the Commission’s renewed commitment to infrastructural development and institutional strengthening across the Niger Delta, the Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Sir Victor Antai, KJW, Ph.D, on Friday undertook an inspection of the newly completed NDDC State Office Complex in Warri , Delta State.

The imposing edifice, which is set to be commissioned next week, is part of the Commission’s deliberate efforts to decentralize its operations, create a conducive working environment for staff, and bring service delivery closer to the people of the Niger Delta.

Addressing newsmen after the inspection, Sir Victor Antai commended the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NDDC, Chief (Dr.) Samuel Ogbuku, for his visionary leadership and determination in ensuring that the project was not only completed but delivered to the highest standards.

“This project is a testament to the kind of purposeful leadership that drives progress. Dr. Ogbuku has been relentless in pushing the contractors, the Directorate of Projects, and the Delta State Office to work with speed and precision. Today, we can all see the results of that commitment. By next week, we will be commissioning this edifice, which will stand as a symbol of NDDC’s renewed dedication to excellence and service delivery,” Sir Victor stated.

He further paid glowing tribute to the Chairman of the NDDC Board, Barr. Chiedu Ebie, describing him as a tireless leader who has been deeply instrumental in ensuring the project’s timely delivery. “Barr. Ebie’s leadership has been strategic and unrelenting. His efforts, combined with the synergy between the Board and Management, have brought this project to life for the people of Delta State and the entire Niger Delta region,” he added.

Sir also extended his gratitude to the State Director, all stakeholders and individuals who, in various ways, contributed to the successful realization of the project. He emphasized that the office complex is not just another building but a legacy project that will serve generations.

“This office will provide a more enabling and professional working environment for our staff in Delta State, thereby improving efficiency and service delivery. More importantly, it demonstrates NDDC’s resolve to complete ongoing projects and strengthen its institutional capacity across the nine Niger Delta states,” he said.

The Warri State Office Complex is one of several infrastructural projects being completed under the present NDDC Board and Management, which has consistently emphasized the need to finish abandoned and ongoing projects across the region. This renewed focus aligns with the Commission’s broader agenda of repositioning itself as a vehicle of sustainable development and prosperity for the people of the Niger Delta.

As the Commission prepares for the formal commissioning of the Warri Office Complex next week, stakeholders, staff, and residents of Delta State look forward to the positive impact the facility will bring, both in terms of improved operations and as a physical symbol of progress in the region.
