Women of Grace Fellowship, the women wing of Word of Grace Bible Church, has concluded 2026 Women Convention with a colourful event marking this year Mother’s Day celebration held at the church auditorium, Plot 80/86 Afaha Uqua Obok Idim Road, Eket.
The two-day programme with the theme, “Blossom where you are Rooted,” commenced on Saturday with aerobics and medical outreach.
Ministering during the grand finale, the Guest Speaker, Rev. Ubong Smith, maintained that where you are rooted matters. She charged women to embrace the word of God, noting that it is the root that you have in the word of God that will make you blossom.
“Flourishing can only be in God. We will flourish in righteousness,” she said, maintaining that a life that is blossom will attract people.
Speaking further, Rev. Smith stated that people who blossom are like trees planted at the river side that bears good fruits and become attractive to the public. She encouraged the women to lay good foundation and be resilient to withstand any situation in life.
Reading from Isaiah 61:1-3, the woman of God, urged women to become vessels in God’s vineyard to preach good tidings unto the meek; bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and open the prison to them that are captive.
She further advised women not to take advice from people that are contrary with the word of God, assuring that there is grace available for them to blossom where they are rooted.
In her remarks, the President of Women of Grace, Mrs. Magdalene Bassey, appreciated God for the success of the programmes and thanked the women for their commitment, prayers and support throughout the event.
She encouraged them to continue walking in faith, love, humility, and strength while remaining vessels of honour, builders of godly homes, and shining examples in the society. She also prayed that the blessings and lessons received during the programme would remain with them.
Mrs Bassey further extended appreciation to the Senior Pastor of Word of Grace Bible Church, Pastor George Umana and wife, Pastor Mrs. Helen Umana, the Men of Grace Fellowship, for their continued support and contributions toward the success of the celebration.
The event featured music ministration by Guest Artiste, Min. Magdalene Obot, drama and song presentation by Women of Grace Fellowship.
