Youths of Idung-Iniang, Ward 3 Central, Eket LGA Declare Support for Dr. Tommy Enodien’s Progressive Move to APC
In a decisive and forward-looking political gathering held in Idung-Iniang, Ward 3 Central of Eket Local Government Area, the youths of the Idung-Iniang group of villages have officially declared their support for Dr. Tommy Enodien, a respected youth and political leader, as he made public his progressive move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This development comes in the wake of recent political realignments following the defection of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State to the APC, signaling a new era in the state’s political landscape.
Dr. Enodien, who has long been a unifying and developmental figure within the youth and political ecosystem of Ward 3 Central, convened the meeting to consult and formally inform the community about his decision. His candid, transparent briefing was met with overwhelming endorsement by the youths of the area.
The motion for the community’s alignment with Dr. Enodien’s new political direction was moved by Hon. Daniel Etukudo, former Supervisor for Oil and Gas in Eket LGA, and seconded by Comr. Nsikan Etebia, Personal Assistant to the Chairman of Eket LGA and Coordinator of the Alaba Movement 2023+. The collective voice of the community was further echoed by the Youth President of Idung-Iniang, Comr. Isaac Usoro, who affirmed the youths’ readiness to follow Dr. Enodien in the renewed political journey.
Comr. Usoro also used the occasion to formally present a request on behalf of the community for human capacity development. He appealed for the facilitation of a skill acquisition program targeting 10 youths from the Idung-Iniang group of villages, aimed at empowering the local youth and fostering socio-economic growth.
The meeting had in attendance several key stakeholders and youth leaders including: Hon. Itoro Isaiah, Personal Assistant to the Governor on Community Matters, Village Youth Presidents from the five sister villages within Ward 3 Central, Executives of the Idung-Iniang (Eket) Youth Welfare Association, the
Woman Leader of Idung-Iniang Youths,
Hon. Daniel Etukudo, former Supervisor for Oil and Gas, other notable political and youth leaders across the ward/community.
The gathering concluded with strong commitments from leaders to work together in unity, foster development, and ensure that the political transition brings tangible benefits to the youths and people of Idung-Iniang group of villages.
This move signifies a new chapter for the youths of Ward 3 Central, one rooted in progressive leadership, capacity development, and meaningful political participation amongst the youths of Ward 3 Central/Idung-Iniang group of villages.
