100 Million Education Trust Fund: Alfred Charles kickstarts First Phase of Grant with 53 Beneficiaries

‎The atmosphere at the Nsit Ubium Education Trust Fund ceremony was one of profound hope, communal pride, and renewed commitment to nurturing the next generation through education.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government, Hon. Alfred Inoyo, reaffirmed that the newly launched education grant represents only the first phase of a broader, long-term investment in the intellectual and moral development of young people. While congratulating the beneficiaries, he urged them to maintain discipline and shun all forms of cultism.

‎Drawing from the Governor’s homecoming story in Ikot Ekpene Udo, he echoed the memorable words, “toyo naha ufok ake bah,” encouraging the students to conduct themselves with dignity, purpose, and moral clarity as they advance academically.

‎ In his words of advice to the beneficiaries, Pastor Ebong Eno reminded the students that “grace has brought you this far; you have no excuse.” He urged them to embrace opportunities rather than excuses, and to build solid foundations that will sustain their long-term aspirations.

‎The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ubong Umoh, commended the Council Boss for aligning his vision with the Arise Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno. He charged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and return with certificates that reflect discipline, excellence, and commitment.

‎Also speaking, Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, applauded the initiative as a welcome development. He reminded the students that “he whom much is given, much is expected,” emphasizing the responsibility that accompanies the support they have received.

‎The Clan Head of Ubium, Etebom Ukpong Udoewah JP, offered fatherly counsel and prayers for the students’ success, while acknowledging the inspiring oratory of Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok, an influence that encouraged him to pursue further studies in Public Administration at Abia State University.

‎The event drew an impressive assembly of respected leaders, public officials, and community stakeholders. Present at the ceremony were: Mrs. Imaobong Alfred Charles, Mrs. Udeme Inwang, Hon.
