FROM AKWA IBOM TO THE BENCH: THE INSPIRING STORY OF EDIDIONG E. AARON

One such inspiring story is that of Edidiong E. Aaron, a daughter of Akwa Ibom State who has built an impressive legal career in the United States.

Edidiong Aaron graduated from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2010 and went on to establish Family Matters Law Group, P.C. in 2012, developing a career focused largely on family law. She has practiced in several counties across the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Then came another major milestone.

In December 2023, Edidiong E. Aaron was sworn in as a part-time Magistrate Judge for Clayton County, Georgia—a significant achievement and another chapter in her journey in the legal profession. Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School itself recognized her appointment among its alumni achievements.

What makes this story particularly remarkable is her connection to Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Public biographical information identifies her as being from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and her professional journey demonstrates what determination, education and hard work can accomplish across borders.
