NMCN Gives Approval for Commencement of Training at Sure Foundation College of Nursing Sciences

Following its recent visit to Sure Foundation College of Nursing Sciences, Ukanafun in Akwa Ibom State, on a final accreditation exercise, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), has given the approval for the commencement of training at the College.

In a letter dated October 22, 2025, and addressed to the Proprietor of the College, the Chief Executive Officer/Registrar, NMCN, Mr Ndagi Alhassan, noted that the Federal Minister for Health and Social Welfare, has approved the establishment of the College.

“The Coordinating Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the establishment of College of Nursing Sciences, Sure Foundation College of Nursing Sciences, Akwa-Ibom

“Pursuant to Section 14 (1&2) of the Nursing and Midwifery (Registrations, Etc) Act, 2004 (as amended), I wish to convey the approval of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria for the Sure Foundation, College of Nursing Sciences, to commence training as follows:

“General Nursing Programme – Provisional status with an annual intake students effective from October, 2025,” the letter stated.

With the approval, the College is now set to commence admission for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Nursing Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
