Premium FM Honours Gov Eno as Most Performing Governor in Nigeria

In recognition of his administration’s development initiatives across the state, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has been honoured by Premium 89.9FM as the Most Performing Governor in Nigeria.

Presenting the Award to the Governor on Thursday at the Annual Premium 89.9FM Lecture and Awards Ceremony held at Ceedapeg Hotel, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, the Managing Director of Premium FM, Mrs. Maureen Umanah, lauded the State Chief Executive for his unwavering commitment to the development of the State.

Mrs. Umanah said the Governor earned the recognition particularly through programmes and policies on infrastructure and human development.

She said the award ceremony was designed to celebrate leadership, service, commitment and the belief that public office, when exercised with vision and dedication, can become a powerful instrument for transforming the lives of citizens.

Representing the Governor, the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, expressed appreciation to Premium FM for the recognition, saying it would inspire the Governor to do more for the people of the state.

He assured the media community that the administration would continue to partner with media organisations in projecting its development agenda.

On her part, the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Obareki, commended Premium FM for recognising the development impact of Governor Umo Eno’s administration and for contributing to the growth of the media landscape in Akwa Ibom.

Declaring the event open, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mkpisong Frank Archibong who served as Chairman of the occasion, commended Premium FM for recognising the Governor’s development initiatives and for choosing to honour him.

Goodwill messages were delivered by the wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Inemesit Uwah, and the member representing Uruan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Dr. Itorobong Etim.

The Vice Chancellor of the Akwa Ibom State University, Prof. Otoabasi Akpan, delivered the annual lecture at the ceremony on the theme; Sustainability As a Key Driver of Advanced Governance Systems: The Arise Agenda Model.
