Women drawn from various communities in Ibeno Local Government converged in Iwuochang at the instance of Rev. Mrs Enobong Ibok, Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor, to celebrate HE Governor Umo Eno Phd, on the appointment of an Iwuoachang daughter, Rev. Mrs. Enobong Ibok as Honorary Special Adviser and Leader of the Government House Prayer Team.

The meeting also availed the people the opportunity to appreciate the Governor for the support given to Ibeno Local Government to do a second term in the lower chambers of the National Assembly through Dr. Eunice Thomas come 2027.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Eunice Thomas expressed deep gratitude to Ibeno for making a resounding political statement through the just concluded Primary Elections of the All Progressives Congress. According to Dr. Thomas, same political statement which reverberated across the local governments in Eket Federal Constituency, brought about her victory as the standard-bearer of the APC for the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

She also charged the women to sustain their support for Pst. Umo Eno PhD, “ Apart from the support for Ibeno to return to the National Assembly, the Governor has shown Ibeno too much love and care by appointing Enobong Ibok to work with him, we can only reciprocate this love by supporting him and all the APC Candidates during the forth coming General elections” she said.

The event which was a “thank you visit” of the newly appointed Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor, paraded dignitaries from all strata of the society, ranging from Royal Fathers, Royal Mothers, Political Stakeholders, Women, Youth, Elected and Appointed Political Office Holders etc. featured special prayer session for Akwa Ibom State and Ibeno Local Government, as well as goodwill messages from groups and individuals.
