Minister’s Aide Congratulates Mbong Emergence as 10th International President of Afigh Iwaad Ekid

Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Honourable Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Administration, Dr. Udo Samuel Atang, has congratulated ObongIwaad Willie Mbong on his emergence as 10th International President of Afigh Iwaad Ekid.

Dr. Atang, in his congratulatory message, maintained that the emergence of ObongIwaad Mbong is a testament to the confidence reposes in him by the community, marking a significant milestone for purposeful leadership and transformative impact.

His message reads in part:

“The election that has produced the 20-member executives, is a milestone marking not just a new chapter for the organization but a renewed hope for purposeful leadership and transformative impact.

“Your emergence is a testament to the confidence the community reposes in you and the entire executive in a time when the thrust of leadership is both demanding and defining. We are confident that your wealth of experience, vision, and unwavering commitment will be pivotal to repositioning Afigh to function effectively, thrive sustainably, and serve the very essence of its establishment.

The SSA noted that Afigh Iwaad Ekid is a renowned socio-cultural organization that serves the interest of the people, serving as a mouthpiece for community development, enhanced economic growth, youth and women empowerment, assuring the newly elected International President of collective support from the people.

“The Afigh Iwaad Ekid, we know, is a renowned Socio-cultural organization that serves as a megaphone for community development, advocating and promoting cultural values, social transformation, enhanced economic growth and development, youth & women empowerment and investments. These are the existential objectives that define the vision and mission of the organization.

“As you take on this noble responsibility, know that the entire community stands behind you, believing in your capacity to forge a new era for Afigh Iwaad and the entire Ekid communities, closing leadership gaps and leading the oil-bearing communities for shared prosperity.

The former Head of Service, Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA), while urging the new leadership of Afigh Iwaad Ekid to foster unity and catalyse growth and development across all spheres of our society, he prayed for Mbong’s leadership to be driven by wisdom, courage, transparency and fear of God.
