Mkpat Enin Chairman Flags off Electrification Extension Project in Ibiaku Esa Ekpo

‎As part of efforts to foster grassroots development and deliver dividends of democracy to the people, the Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government, Engr. Emmanuel Inyang, has taken the Electrification Extension Project to Ibiaku Esa Ekpo community.

‎This milestone project, which falls under the Chairman’s signature programme Operation “Light-up Mkpat Enin”, is a fulfillment of his campaign promise to restore power and bring electricity to communities across the Local Government Area.

‎Today, Ibiaku Esa Ekpo becomes the latest beneficiary of this bold initiative, marking yet another step in the actualization of his Emmancipation Blueprint as encapsulated in Arise Agenda of the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

‎Addressing the people during the flag-off, Engr. Inyang expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve and the people of Mkpat Enin for their support before and after the elections.

‎The council boss reaffirmed his determination to change the narrative of governance in Mkpat Enin by ensuring that every community feels the tangible presence of his administration.

‎ Engr. Inyang noted his administration’s focus on human capacity development and education as key priorities, stressing that leadership, to him, is not about occupying an office but leaving lasting impact through people-centered projects and policies.

‎Within months in office, he has disbursed grants to Mkpat Enin students in tertiary institutions, including special support for newly admitted law students describing education a the strongest tool for sustainable development.

‎The Vice Chairman, Mrs. Owoidoho Inyangetuk, from the host community, thanked the Chairman whom she described as a visionary and compassionate leader, pledging her loyalty, and praying for God’s blessings on his administration.

‎In their separate goodwill messages, the Councillor representing Ibiaku Ward 3, Hon. Jameson Etebom Ekwere, the Village Head, Dr. Nsini Akpabio, Supervisor for Ibiaku Ward 3, Barr. Johnson Aman, and the Youth President of Ibiaku Esa Ekpo, applauded the Chairman’s leadership style.

They lauded his commitment to community development and expressed optimism that the dawn of a brighter era has finally come to Ibiaku.

‎The highlight of the event was the symbolic planting of electric poles, which drew cheers from residents who celebrated the historic step towards steady power supply in their village.

‎With the Ibiaku Esa Ekpo electrification project, the Emmancipation Blueprint of Engr. Emmanuel Inyang continues to resonate across Mkpat Enin, bringing light, hope and renewed confidence in grassroots governance.
