Distinguished Stakeholders of Eket Federal Constituency, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with a profound sense of duty, civic responsibility, and deep commitment to democratic excellence that the Eket Federal Constituency Media Professionals Forum convenes this historic 2026 Electoral Interactive Forum, a strategic platform designed to deepen democratic engagement and promote a credible, transparent, and merit-driven leadership selection process ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

This landmark initiative is borne out of our collective resolve to partner and contribute meaningfully to the emergence of effective, competent and accountable leadership to drive sustainable growth, development , peace and unity in our Federal Constituency

In pursuit of this objective, we have introduced a fair, inclusive, and non-partisan platform through which aspirants across political divides are afforded the opportunity to articulate their manifestos, unveil their policy blueprints, demonstrate their leadership capacity, and inspire public confidence through constructive engagement with the electorate.

This interactive forum reflects our conviction that democracy thrives where ideas are rigorously examined, leadership capacity is openly assessed, and the electorate is sufficiently informed to make sound and enlightened choices at the ballot box.

Eket Federal Constituency is one of the most organized, intellectually vibrant, and politically influential constituencies in Akwa Ibom State, with a rich pool of professionals, industry leaders, and politically conscious citizens. As such, the constituency deserves purposeful and progressive representation, anchored on competence, character, and vision to drive meaningful development.

The future of our constituency must therefore be entrusted only to individuals with demonstrable capacity, integrity, and a genuine commitment to public service.

At this juncture, we respectfully extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dear Governor, His Excellency, Pst. Umo Eno, Ph.D for the remarkable strides his administration has recorded in advancing the development and prosperity of our dear state. His purposeful leadership, as clearly demonstrated through the ARISE Agenda, continues to inspire confidence and optimism across all sectors.

Particularly noteworthy is the historic milestone recorded on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, when we witnessed the Ibom Air commencement of international flight operations from Uyo to Ghana, which we described as a monumental achievement that marks a new chapter in the economic and infrastructural advancement of our state, and one that will undoubtedly expand opportunities for commerce, tourism, and international engagement.

Your Excellency, the Eket Federal Constituency Media Professionals Forum proudly acknowledges this outstanding accomplishment and assures you of our continued support in your pursuit of greater development, inclusive growth, and enduring prosperity for the people of Akwa Ibom State.

The Eket Federal Constituency Media Professionals Forum is a proudly non-partisan body comprising professionals from Eket, Esit Eket, ONNA, and Ibeno Local Government Areas. It is founded on the core mandate of strengthening the role of media professionals as catalysts for positive change, champions of accountability, and strategic partners in community development. Our mission is anchored on promoting transparency, good governance, civic enlightenment, and sustainable socio-political progress within Eket Federal Constituency and beyond.
