FCC Staff – Akwa Ibom Community Laud Eunice Thomas Over Support
Staff members of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) from Akwa Ibom State, Abuja, have extolled the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom in the Commission, Dr. Eunice Thomas, for her support and the warm reception she has accorded them since she assumed office.
The commendation was contained in a “letter of appreciation” signed by its leader, Mary Udeme George, after the group recently met again with the commissioner to brief her on important developments and brainstorm on some national issues.
Expressing gratitude for her willingness to listen to their vast concerns, the forum said the assurances they received from her to address those concerns have lifted their spirits and encouraged them to serve the nation with a new energy.
“We are particularly encouraged by the promises you made regarding your continued support and commitment to the welfare and professional progress of staff from Akwa Ibom State within the Commission”, a part of the letter read.
Reacting to the gift Dr. Thomas presented to them, they remarked: “This thoughtful gesture clearly demonstrates your kindness, generosity, and genuine concern for your people”.
They assured her of their support and urged her to continue to serve Akwa Ibom and Nigeria with dedication.
Thomas, since her inauguration into office has ensured that issues that affect federal employees of Akwa Ibom extraction are listened to promptly with the aim of resolving them in line with the mandate of the FCC.
