Otobong Bob Eulogizes Gov Eno for Excellent Leadership, Pushes Motion for Tinubu, Eno, All APC Candidates’ Re-election

Majority Leader of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Otobong Effiong Bob, has poured glowing encomium on Governor Umo Eno for what he described as a refreshing style of leadership that has restored hope and confidence in the people.
Speaking at the grand finale of Governor Eno’s Town Square Meeting for Etinan/Nsit Ubium/Nsit Ibom Federal Constituency, held at the Nsit Ubium Council Secretariat, Ikot Edibon, on Saturday, Bob moved a motion for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno and all APC candidates in 2027, stressing that the Governor’s people-oriented policies and massive projects have not only transformed the constituency but made Akwa Ibom a cynosure of all eyes.
The Barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court, said he was ecstatic to welcome the Governor home, and praised him for extending empowerment worth over ₦361,450,000 to 844 beneficiaries in the federal constituency.
“We are very happy to receive our leader, Pastor Umo Eno, in his federal constituency. He is doing so well for Akwa Ibom people, and we are proud of him. By God’s grace, we will re-elect him in 2027 as our Governor,” Bob said.
On the podium, the House Leader moved a motion for the adoption of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the APC will sweep the polls from top to bottom.
In a chat with newsmen, the Ikot Ekwere Ubium-born politician praised the State Chief Executive for steadily transforming the face of Akwa Ibom. He singled out the award of contract for the dualization of the Afaha Offiong–Itreto Road, which cuts across Nsit Ibom and Nsit Ubium, noting that such a massive project will not only open up communities in the two local governments but also rekindle hope among the people, attract fresh waves of development and boost economic activities.
The Majority Leader further pointed out that the Governor’s strides go beyond Nsit Ubium, stressing that the federal constituency and indeed the entire state are dotted with innumerable ongoing projects cutting across critical sectors. He maintained that in just two years, Governor Eno has not only met the yearnings of Akwa Ibom people but has already exceeded the promises he made during his campaign.
Bob noted that his people, and indeed the entire state, are delighted because they can see and feel the results of the governor’s performance. He expressed confidence that at the current pace of delivery, the governor will surpass expectations within the next six years of his mandatory eight-year tenure in office.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Eno expressed gratitude to his people and indeed all the nine federal constituencies for their love, resilience and sacrifice. He announced a fresh ₦10 billion package in the 2026 budget to support MSMEs, traders, farmers and students, and further disclosed plans to establish Youth-Friendly Centres across the 31 local government areas of the state.
The governor also called on the people to sustain their support for President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as having shown special love to Akwa Ibom and therefore deserved massive backing for his re-election, as well as for Senate President Godswill Akpabio. He urged eligible residents to take advantage of the ongoing voters’ registration and APC revalidation exercise, stressing that the benefits would be enormous.
Highpoint of the event included solidarity messages from stakeholders, presentation of cheques to beneficiaries which amounted to ₦361,450,000, award of contract for the construction of a police station at Ikot Edibon as well as award of contract for the dualization of Afaha Offiong–Itreto Road in Nsit Ubium, which drew thunderous applause from the crowd.
