The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Safety and Environment, Mrs. Jayne Ufot, has partnered with Kach Construction Limited, to deepen safety compliance and institutionalize best practices in Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking during an interactive meeting with the SSA on Thursday March 26, 2026 in Uyo, the Managing Director of Kach Construction Limited, Charles Makhoul, lauded Governor Umo Eno for his interventions and progressive measures implemented across the state in the area of safety, noting that the initiatives are unprecedented.
“We thank you for the work you are doing. We are very familiar with Akwa Ibom. This is the first time I see this kind of thing happening in the area of safety,” he said.

Responding, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Safety and Environment, Mrs Jayne Ufot, attributed the progress recorded in the sector to the visionary leadership of Governor Umo Eno.

She added that emergency medical services have also been strengthened, with improved response systems and better trained personnel ensuring timely interventions whenever they are needed.
She noted that the present administration has, for the first time institutionalized a safety culture across Ministries, Departments and Agencies through the recruitment of 100 Safety Officers and ongoing safety audits.
