Governor Umo Eno has secured a $3 million grant for Akwa Ibom State under the Nigeria for Women Project, a major intervention aimed at expanding economic opportunities for rural women through financial inclusion, enterprise development and capacity building. The achievement reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that women, particularly those in rural communities, are not left behind in the state’s development agenda.

The Nigeria for Women Project is designed to improve the livelihoods of women by increasing their access to financial resources, strengthening their entrepreneurial capacity and promoting participation in productive economic activities. By securing the funding for Akwa Ibom, Governor Eno has positioned thousands of women to benefit from programmes that encourage self-reliance, income generation and long-term economic resilience.
